Despite a forecast for rain, fresh easterly winds (16 km/hr) created perfect race conditions on a warm sunny morning. Initially the wind direction was from the southeast before shifting eastly and picking up speed mid-morning.

The annual 1650 Fun Day, proudly sponsored by Muir Marine, took place at the Manly Marina on 12th October 2025.

It was another fantastic day of racing on the water, with favourable winds and warm weather signalling the arrival of summer.

The Sovereign Cup has wrapped up the winter edition of the Beginners to Winners series in style, sending everyone home with smiles and great memories. Sel sailed brilliantly to claim a well-earned victory, proudly taking the cup home for this year.

Despite tempting offers of breakfast in bed and the classic Father’s Day haul of jocks and socks (cheers, Mother!), a keen crowd of sailors couldn’t resist heading out for another round at Manly marina.
