Scratch Race 3 11th Jan 2026
Our first race meet of 2026!
Despite Cyclone Koji smashing into North Queensland and out of control fires South of the boarder, twenty-three sailors came out to race in perfect Brisbane conditions. Today’s racing took place in 10 km/hr Northly Winds, in warm, if not a bit humid conditions.
The low tide however did give one or two brave sailors the opportunity to locate the odd rock in the shallows while attempting to capitalise on a phantom lift close in.
Overall, the day on the water was perfect, featuring close competitive racing and enjoyment for all participants. Finally, check out the video, the DF65 sailors gave a master class in rounding of the top mark.
Thanks again to all race officers and assistants for another fun day sailing.
