The Wynnum Cup 9th December 2025
Beginners-to-Winners closed this year with our traditional Wynnum Cup regatta sponsored by Sandi Sharp (Harcourts Property Centre).
The racing started with light Easterly winds which gradually developed during the morning. A large fleet of 16 boats competed for the cup; there was some very close racing especially at the top mark where early leads changed hands very quickly.
The event was followed by lunch at the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club, where our special guest Sandi handed out the trophies to the winners. Congratulations to Dudley who took out first prize in this year’s event.
Also, well done to Peter who recently joined B2W and did extremely well in his first race!
This week has been a fantastic sailing week, with 95 boats on the water in the club’s training and racing events.
A huge thankyou goes out to Russell for running the B2W 2025 and to all the officers and supporters who have organized and helped run this year’s races and events.
