Winter Series Handicap Race 2 – 21st June 2026

Another beautiful day in Manly, warm, and sunny, but unfortunately there was not a breath of wind. We managed to make the most of what wind we had and sailed eight heats before closing for the day. Typical of light wind sailing on Manly Marina, it was a game of patience: keeping the boat moving and hoping you were heading toward the wind!

Lyn (IOM) and Bob (DF65) managed to find some wind and came first in their respective fleets. Bob brought his starter box, which provided both audio and numeric countdown/count-up features that kept everyone in line at the start.

Despite the lack of wind, we had a great morning of sailing. Thanks again to the volunteers who helped put on yet another fun event.

Our next race meeting will be on the 5th July. The Clive Brooks and JD. McLachlan Trophy followed with a BBQ.
