Summer Series Scratch Race 6 12th April 2026

The onset of autumn marked the return of westerly winds. Sunday was unusually hot causing the light westerly wind to occasionally flick to an Eastley as the land warmed during the morning. Okay it did go Northly and Southerly too, in fact all points of the compass!

Although frustrating at times, the racing was extremely close, finding even the lightest of wind gusts made for huge gains.

As usual we had quite a large following of passing spectators watching proceedings. Despite the Tsunami like low tide only one or two sailors managed to go aground!

Thanks again to all the volunteers who managed another great race day, we had twenty-three boats on the water, and everyone had a wonderful time.
