Handicap Summer Series Race 6 26th April 2026
The forecast was for rain about coastal areas, although there were one or two early showers, the inclement and cool weather held off for the majority of Sunday morning. Winds were light from the southeast, with occasional calm.
We had eleven boats in each fleet, once again leaders went from hero to zero if they did not pick (guess) the wind shifts.
Our guest sailor Phill brought a selection of excellent home baking, a big thankyou and you’re welcome to come back next week!
It’s noticeable that rounding the top mark can be problematic at times, it has even gained the nickname “The Bermuda Triangle.” A good example was today, on the first leg the DF65 fleet sailed into a hole and was stuck there until eventually a breath of wind got them going again. Check out the video below.
Once again thankyou to all the volunteers who helped put on another great race.
