JL Sullivan IOM & PG Kampe DF65 Cup 25th October 2026
Despite a forecast of torrential rain, 20-knot winds and thunderstorms, fourteen sailors arrived ready to compete for the trophies. Instead, we were rewarded with near-perfect racing conditions. The sky remained overcast and there was occasional drizzle, but the wind stayed light and the racing was both close and enjoyable.
The IOM fleet produced especially tight racing, with six of the eight sailors recording a win. When the final results were tallied, Greg emerged as the winner and claimed the JL Sullivan Trophy.
The DF65 fleet followed a similar pattern, with five of the six sailors securing a first-place finish during the heats. Russell ultimately took home the PG Kampe Trophy after winning a countback with Basil.
After his radio failed, Jeremy generously volunteered to run the barbecue, cooking some fantastic sausages, well done, Jeremy! The day concluded with the barbecue and a trophy presentation.
Thanks again to all the race officers and volunteers whose efforts made the event such a success.
Fun at all costs!
