We had a big turnout this morning with 25 boats on the water. Although the morning was cloudy, we didn’t see the rain or 10 knot winds in the forecast. Racing commenced in a patchy 2-4 knot Northerly wind, making conditions challenging at times depending which side of the course you were on.
Andrew won the IOM class fleet with half the number of points than second placed Peter. The win was even greater in the DF65 fleet with Grant taking first place with a score of 9.9 out of ten races!
Checkout the series of photographs of the IOM start, (okay it’s one of the better starts). The pictures were taken at 5 second intervals. Note that #12 was over the line and can be seen going back to dip the line at +10 seconds.
Although challenging, we all had fun this morning, the weather stayed kind to the competitors, with a shower passing through only after racing had finished.
