Handicap Winter Series Race 3 20th July 2025
The third handicap race brought a surprise: while the bay enjoyed a steady 20 km/hr south-westerly breeze, the marina was much gentler, with only the occasional puff of wind guiding the boats along.
It was a classic Brisbane winter’s day—warm, bright, and somewhat challenging for a race. Curious morning walkers stopped by for a chat or to catch the action, often asking, “Do those boats have motors?”
Even with the tricky, light conditions, everyone showed impressive skill and kept the races competitive and fun. All in all, it was another enjoyable day out on the water.
