What looked like an average day for racing turned out to be one of the best. The weather was warm and sunny, and, as forecast, the wind built steadily throughout the morning.

As part of the development of a weather buoy, it logged the changing wind conditions and (courtesy of AI) created a summary report.

Although conditions were very light at first, the wind settled into a strengthening north-easterly, allowing the course to be changed to a twin upwind-and-downwind layout. The flexibility of the “BuoyBots” made this major adjustment quick and easy during the halftime tuning break.

Congratulations to today’s winners John McLachlan and Dave Proctor.

Russell stepped up and took charge of the BBQ as our “MasterChef” for the day.
