B2W Sovereign Cup – 15th Sept 2026

The Sovereign Cup brings another session of “Beginners to Winners” (B2W) to a close. This handicap cup race is a practice regatta where sailors can put their new skills to the test in a real race setting.

The racing was very close, with sunny weather and a nice north easterly breeze.

Congratulations to Greg Carter, who won by fewer than two points over second place finisher Greg Martin. The battle for third was even closer, with David Proctor taking bronze after a countback. (If two sailors finish with the same score, their results are reviewed and the sailor with the most 1st place finishes, then 2ndplace finishes and so on, is awarded the higher position.)

Another great day on the water! Thanks again to Russell for his tireless work running B2W, and to everyone who helped over the ten weeks.
