Vice Commodore’s Cup - Handicap Race 4 17th August 2025
It was another warm and sunny day at the Manly marina. Competitors were greeted by light and variable south-westerly winds, which created challenging conditions for sailing in the gentle breezes.
Despite these conditions, the results sheet reflected some exceptionally close racing in the IOM class, with only a few points separating the middle group of yachts. Similarly, the mid-field DF65 sailors were separated by just a fraction of a point, highlighting the competitiveness of the event.
The enticing aroma of sausages and onions from the barbecue signalled the conclusion of the Vice Commodore’s Cup. Peter and Marcel were presented with their Vice Commodore trophies, and everyone enjoyed a well-earned barbecue sausage or two.
Thanks go once again to John, our Vice Commodore, for donating the trophies, and to the support team for ensuring another enjoyable day on the water.
