Scratch Winter Series Race 4 – 2nd August 2026

The morning kicked off with dark clouds on the horizon, bringing gusty winds before the start, and then a welcome break as the clouds cleared and the sun brought lighter winds for the rest of racing.

There was a steady stream of spectators stopping to inquire about the boats and BuoyBots. We had some close racing, with five IOM sailors winning a heat. In the DF65 fleet Grant gave a master class winning seven of the ten heats. And as a bonus we finished today’s racing on a high tide.

The club is subsidising Club Polo Shirts once again this year. This a special year as it’s our 30th anniversary. If you didn’t pickup your Polo shirt today, catch up with Basil on Tuesday at B2W.

It was another great day sailing at Manly Marina, with plenty of fun and friendly competition on the water. Thanks again to the officers and volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly.
