Winter Scratch Series Race 2 - 1st June 2025
The intense rain, having ceased on Saturday evening, allowed clear skies to prevail at the marina, encouraging twenty sailors to engage in sailing activities this morning. The conditions were optimal, with Southern winds blowing at 10-15 km/hr, occasionally gusting stronger.
Club members showcased commendable and professional racing skills, attracting numerous spectators who paused their Sunday morning walks to view the event.
However, as the scene felt increasingly idyllic, rain clouds returned unexpectedly. After six heats, the race was abandoned due to the imminent rainfall, which began within a few minutes.
