Summer Handicap Series R2. 19th Nov 2023. Xmas Challenge and Presentations

A fabulous sunny morning saw 22 skippers (11 IOM and 11 Df65) excitedly rigging up for the Xmas Challenge COMBO. A 5 knot breeze settled in from the north which meant for courses to be laid straight up and down the channel.

Peter and Andrew set courses for the IOM and DF65 fleets that kept the fleets separate over most of the course.

Peter Harris gave up sailing after the break and started cooking the sausages for the presentation sizzle. Thanks Peter.

Ten races races were completed with lots of friendly banter, and good competitive spirit. A big bonus was the rising tide which made boat launching and retrieving easy.

Congratulations to all the placegetters. Once again we were all winners on the day.
